Pelvic pain can result in a cycle of altering posture or holding parts of the body rigid and tense which can cause problems with muscles, joints or nerves.
Specially trained physical therapists set up a customized home program of exercise, manual therapy and pain management.
The Pelvic Pain Program
After a complete evaluation, you and your physical therapist will set up a treatment program which may include:
- Exercise including strengthening, stretching, relaxing, and mobility
- Manual therapy
- Pain management including electrical stimulation, heat, cold, and ultrasound
- Home exercise program
